The World is Changing—So Must We as Therapists. How are you evolving in your practice?
Join us for our third Blocking Belief webinar…
Why? Our #1 reason EMDR gets stuck is because of a protector part/blocking belief. We spend the entire afternoon learning the many ways to work with these parts.
Bonus: Two group practicums- Front loading resources and a group unblending script! Join us!
Calling all EMDR-trained clinicians! If you're experiencing slowed or stopped processing due to protective parts, this advanced webinar is for you.
1) To push past protectors is not nice :(
AND
2)The protective system has to be big and powerful because a trauma therapist working with EMDR comes in with an agenda(script) and the protector part is trying to keep everyone inside safe!
Working with protector parts from a respectful and trauma-informed space is crucial to successful trauma processing.
Gain practical skills to overcome memory reconsolidation interruptions and work more effectively with clients dealing with PTSD and complex PTSD (cPTSD).
Hope to see you there!Use coupon code Paula25 and get your Earlybird discount by registering today.

This three-day webinar will give participants who have completed EMDR basic training critical skills for working with their clients who have Complex Trauma. Participants will learn about and practice developing their own Meeting Place/Conference Room, widely used with ego states/parts of self to resolve internal conflicts.
This weekend webinar will give participants who have already completed the EMDR basic training critical skills needed for working with clients who have Complex Trauma and/or Dissociative Disorders. Participants will learn about and practice developing their own Meeting Place/Conference Room, the most widely used technique for working with ego states and parts of self to resolve internal conflicts. The Meeting Place adds an essential aspect of relational work to EMDR. Clients experienced their trauma in isolation. Supportive connection between the adult client and the child parts of themselves who experienced the neglect, abuse, or unresolved grief.
We have added two evening hours on Friday for a more spacious approach to this work. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a morning didactic segment followed by a break for lunch, after which there will be a demonstration of the Meeting Place with a participant volunteer. Supervised practicums of the Meeting Place in triads will be conducted both afternoons. The afternoon ends with some time for consultation. These complex clients can be treated successfully using modifications of the EMDR Protocol but without deviation in Phases 3-6.
Participants will be strongly encouraged to complete advance readings, available upon registration, before the workshop. Those unfamiliar with this subject reported difficulty in grasping the workshop content without reading the material. Advanced readings include powerful transcripts of actual Ego State Therapy and Structural Dissociation sessions with clients, used with permission.

Are you an EMDR-trained clinician looking to refine your skills and confidently address today’s increasingly complex trauma presentations? Traditional EMDR protocols were built around single-incident PTSD, focusing on a known Criterion A event. But what happens when your clients present with Complex PTSD and dissociative features? How do you adapt your assessment, treatment planning, and preparation to ensure effective reprocessing?
This training is designed to help you “brush up” on your foundational EMDR skills and then go beyond the basics to skillfully navigate the complexities of dissociation. In this workshop, we will:
Revisit the Basics: Review key EMDR principles and standard protocols, including the original target sequence planning and the reprocessing of the 3-pronged targets.
Expand Your Clinical Lens: Learn to identify Complex PTSD and the dissociative subtype of PTSD, where the client’s dissociative responses must be understood and managed before moving into the memory reprocessing phases (3-6).
Build Your Assessment Toolkit: Explore the use of dissociation measures (DES and MID) and the application of Polyvagal Theory to better understand the autonomic nervous system states that underlie dissociative responses.
Address Protector Parts: Gain practical strategies for working with dissociative “protector parts” that maintain safety through dissociation. Learn how to engage with these internal states to stabilize the client before delving into memory work.
Adapt the Standard Protocol: Understand how to thoughtfully modify phases 1 and 2 of EMDR to prepare clients with complex presentations for phases 3-6, ensuring that reprocessing is not derailed by dissociation.
By the end of this training, you’ll have a clearer roadmap for assessing and preparing complex trauma clients for EMDR, empowering you to work more effectively and compassionately with those who present with layered trauma and dissociative processes. Join us and learn how to confidently adapt EMDR to the realities of complex trauma treatment. 6 CEUs
